Epic Pass resorts, 2026-27

The Epic Pass is sold by Vail Resorts. Of the 28 resorts on PowderPicker, 10 honour it this season. The access column matters more than the list: some are unlimited, others cap you at a few days.

Not on the Epic Pass in 2026-27

  • Aspen Snowmass — on Ikon Pass, Mountain Collective instead. Aspen Snowmass has never been on the Epic Pass. Its owner, Aspen Skiing Co., co-founded the Ikon Pass with Alterra in 2018, and Aspen was one of the four original Mountain Collective resorts in 2012.
  • Jackson Hole Mountain Resort — on Ikon Pass, Mountain Collective instead. Jackson Hole was one of the four original Mountain Collective resorts in 2012 and joined the Ikon Pass at its launch in 2018. It has never been on the Epic Pass. Since then it has limited Ikon access to the full pass and requires reservations.
  • Mammoth Mountain — on Ikon Pass instead. Mammoth is not on the Epic Pass. It has been an Ikon resort since the Ikon Pass launched in 2018, after Alterra bought it in 2017. Before that it was on the Mountain Collective, which it left when it joined Ikon.
  • Chamonix-Mont-Blanc — on Ikon Pass, Mountain Collective instead. Chamonix Mont-Blanc Valley joined the Ikon Pass for the 2022-23 season, alongside Sun Valley and Snowbasin. It is also on the Mountain Collective, and has never been on Epic. Its Epic-partner neighbour is Verbier (4 Vallees), about 1.5 hours away in Switzerland.
  • Val d'Isère — no multi-resort pass. Val d'Isère is not on any US multi-resort pass for 2026-27 (it is absent from the Ikon destinations list and Epic's European partner list). The existing page highlight 'On the Ikon Pass for international skiers' is wrong and should be removed.
  • Zermatt — on Ikon Pass instead. Zermatt is an Ikon destination, not Epic; there is no Epic Pass access at Zermatt for 2026-27 (Epic's Swiss partners are Verbier, Crans-Montana and Vail-owned Andermatt).
  • Cortina d'Ampezzo — on Ikon Pass instead.
  • Niseko United — on Ikon Pass, Mountain Collective instead.
  • Alta — on Ikon Pass, Mountain Collective instead.
  • Snowbird — on Ikon Pass, Mountain Collective instead.
  • Big Sky Resort — on Ikon Pass, Mountain Collective instead. Big Sky has been on the Ikon Pass since its launch in 2018-19 and joined the Mountain Collective the same season; it has never been on the Epic Pass, despite frequent 'big sky epic pass' searches.
  • Palisades Tahoe — on Ikon Pass instead. Owned by Alterra Mountain Company, it has been an Ikon flagship since the pass launched in 2018-19; before that Squaw Valley/Alpine Meadows was a Mountain Collective founding member. The resort was renamed from Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows to Palisades Tahoe in September 2021.
  • Steamboat — on Ikon Pass instead. Steamboat is owned by Alterra Mountain Company and has been on the Ikon Pass since it launched in 2018-19 (before that it was an Intrawest resort on the Rocky Mountain Super Pass Plus). It has never been on the Epic Pass - Epic's nearest Colorado resorts are Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone and Crested Butte.
  • Killington — on Ikon Pass instead. Killington has been on the Ikon Pass since 2018-19 and is not on the Epic Pass (Vail's nearby Epic resorts are Okemo, Stowe and Mount Snow). In 2024 POWDR sold Killington and Pico to the Killington Independence Group, a group of longtime passholders, and the new owners kept the Ikon partnership.
  • Revelstoke Mountain Resort — on Ikon Pass, Mountain Collective instead. Revelstoke joined the Ikon Pass in its first season (announced February 22, 2018, for 2018-19) and is also on the Mountain Collective. It has never been on the Epic Pass; it is owned by Northland Properties.
  • Taos Ski Valley — on Ikon Pass, Mountain Collective instead. Taos has been on the Ikon Pass since the pass launched in 2018-19, and it has also stayed on the Mountain Collective, so both passes work here.
  • Banff Sunshine Village — on Ikon Pass, Mountain Collective instead. Sunshine has been on the Ikon Pass (through SkiBig3) and the Mountain Collective for several seasons, and nothing changed for 2026-27. It is not on the Epic Pass; Epic's nearest resorts are in BC (Whistler, Kicking Horse, Fernie).
  • Copper Mountain — on Ikon Pass instead. Copper has been on the Ikon Pass since the pass launched in 2018-19 and has never been on the Epic Pass, even though Vail-owned Breckenridge and Keystone are next door.
